Cutting:

From both the light and the dark fabrics:

1. Cut a strip of fabric 2" wide by 18".

2. Sew the strips together and press to the dark fabric. Cut 4 pieces that measure 3 1/2" X 3 1/2".

3. Cut 2 squares 3 7/8" X 3 7/8". Cut in half diagonally. Make 4 half-square triangles.

From the light:

1. Cut 1 square, 3 1/2" X 3 1/2".

Piecing:

1. Sew the block together.
